Anyone wishing to use these kernel sources will need to create an apppropriate initrd (ebuild submission coming). If you wish to use grub, then you will need to use the grub-0.94-r2 ebuild to be submitted that is patched to support ataraid devices.

Do you still want this kernel in? Seems to be pretty outdated now with 2.4.28 and 2.6.9
See comment #9 Also, rather than getting this into portage, it would be best to get the i875 patches accepted upstream, if they are not already.
