I have the same problem and have checked several mirrors and the files do not exist.
I was able to get the following files: http://ftp3.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/win32codecs.tar.bz2 http://ftp3.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/qt6dlls.tar.bz2 http://ftp3.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/qtextras.tar.bz2 http://ftp3.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/rp9win32codecs.tar.bz2 Rename them to have '-20040427' on the end (e.g. win32codecs.tar.bz2 becomes win32codecs-20040427.tar.bz2. Move them to /usr/portage/distfiles/ Proceed with emerge
