from the homepage: http://www.saunalahti.fi/~laakkon1/linux/luola/index.php Luola is a 2D arcade game where you fly a small V shaped ship in different kinds of levels. It's genre "Luolalentely" (Cave-flying) is (or was) very popular here in Finland. Luola is largely inspired by V-Wing, my favourite cave-flying game. While V-Wing's graphics might not have been flashy, they were crisp and clear, and the playability and choice of weapons was superb. This is also my aim with Luola, not too much eye-candy, but solid playability. I had trouble getting locale data into /usr/share/locale and with the game looking for /usr/games//usr/share/games/ when running it... I submitted two patches to hopefully fix this problem, and an official patch as well. fun little game, but requires at least two human players to get much enjoyment out of it. Created attachment 34072 [details, diff] 1.2.1-prefixpathfix.diff designed to fix luola executable looking for /usr/games//usr/share/games/ seemingly a ${prefix}/${datadir} error
Created attachment 45809 [details] luola-1.2.2.ebuild A semi-working 1.2.2 ebuild. The level directory reading code doesn't work right and the game crashes reading the Demo level so I'm not adding it to portage yet. The prefixpathfix patch is still needed with 1.2.2 as well.
luola-1.2.6.ebuild added to portage.
