When a compile brakes and i don't have a recent livecd handy i have to download the whole iso off the mirrors in order to get at one or max of 2 packages that fail to compile due to w/e problem. All that I am really asking is that instead of me having to download an ISO off the gentoo mirrors. It would be nice if you could take the packages out of the iso and throw then into that grp folder you have standing around Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
There actually is an unofficial repository for basic packages available at http://dev.gentoo.org/~avenj
GRP packages are not designed nor intended to be used for day-to-day installations. They are only to be used at the initial install. Anything after that and you're asking for problems with your system.
