Please add patch for preserving column positions and window size from bugs.kde.org:

Tested working on my system (amd64).

For the ebuild: I simply added the line:

PATCHES=( "${FILESDIR}/${PN}-preservesettings.patch" )

after DEPEND and before src_configure().

I also renamed kget-4.14.3 to kget-4.14.3-r1 and put the patch (attachment 403462 [details]) into the files directory.

This is an minor issue which should not be solved on downstream. Please send the patch upstream. For example via https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/ or ping them on irc on #kde-devel.
