On amd64 the current stable version of dev-python/PyQt is 3.11, which depends on >=dev-python/sip-3.10.1. However there is no stable version of dev-python/sip for amd64 in the portage tree. Therefor my attempt to "emerge -uD world" fails with

!!! all ebuilds that could satisfy ">=dev-python/sip-3.10.1" have been masked.
!!! possible candidates are:
!!!    (dependency required by "dev-python/PyQt-3.11" [ebuild])

!!! Problem with ebuild dev-python/PyQt-3.11

According to the changelog of sip some 3.x ebuilds have been removed on June, 23th, I guess that's the reason for things being broken.

Indeed. Fixed in cvs. Sorry and thanks for the report.
