Sorry to be trying to shrug off this bug, but I think dev-libs/liblist deserves the namespace “list”/“-llist”/“list.h”. From a cursory glance at https://bitbucket.org/tsg-/liberasurecode/src/e46c434e36566f6f0820923a9a184e27d7b941e8/include/erasurecode/list.h?at=master , it seems like these headers are part of the internal implementation (is the SLIST thing it defines even part of what would be considered its public API?) and either shouldn’t be installed to /usr/include or should be properly namespace-prefixed with erasurecode_.

@prometheanfire, are you able to work with upstream liberasurecode to see if the installed headers can be cleaned up a bit or namespaced? There are a couple other headers which have generic-sounding names which would be installed too which might cause a similar issue later, namely xor_code.h, xor_hd_code_defs.h, and alg_sig.h:

gibby linux # pushd /var/tmp/portage/dev-libs/liberasurecode-1.0.7/image/; find usr/include
/var/tmp/portage/dev-libs/liberasurecode-1.0.7/image /usr/src/linux
usr/include
usr/include/config_liberasurecode.h
usr/include/xor_code.h
usr/include/xor_hd_code_defs.h
usr/include/list.h
usr/include/erasurecode_version.h
usr/include/erasurecode_stdinc.h
usr/include/erasurecode_postprocessing.h
usr/include/erasurecode_preprocessing.h
usr/include/erasurecode_log.h
usr/include/erasurecode_helpers.h
usr/include/erasurecode_backend.h
usr/include/erasurecode.h
usr/include/alg_sig.h

I agree, the headers should probably be namespaced.
