It seems that there is a problem in the tree for man-pages-3.83:

$ sudo emerge --update --deep --newuse --with-bdeps=y @world
Calculating dependencies | * Digest verification failed:
 * /usr/portage/sys-apps/man-pages/man-pages-3.83.ebuild
 * Reason: Filesize does not match recorded size
 * Got: 1746
 * Expected: 1757

I tried a re-sync and the issue is still present. Thanks!

This appears to be fixed now upon re-syncing!
