Description 白川間瀬流 2015-05-07 08:55:00 UTC
If you do

/etc/init.d/shutdown.sh status

the system will shutdown.

Samme happens with /etc/init.d/reboot.sh status

Reproducible: Always

Perhaps we can move these files somewhere else as they are clearly no init scripts?
Anybody knows if openrc makes use of these files anyway?

I'm pretty sure they can just go away. Current sysvinit does not use them at all, nor does OpenRC. They seem to be from baselayout-1 era, as they make references to variables that used to be set in /etc/conf.d/rc, but are long since gone.

These files re removed in 2.88-r8.
Thanks for the report.
