Thanks Stefan I'm up for bumping it indeed but your proposed ebuild lacks the build-shared-only patch which you simply removed. Looking at the sources, this patch is still needed but needs to be updated to reflect the modifications done on the various Makefile.am of the src/ subdirectories (most of them are untouched, this should be done quite easily). Could you update the patch and propose a glusterfs-3.6.3-build-shared-only.patch ? Thanks

Please, update or explain, why is this build-shared-only patch important. I can prepare patch for new version of glusterfs package, but I don't see reason for this patch ?
