ebuild proposal

Version 3.6 adds interesting features, please bump :-)
A working ebuild is attached.

Thanks Stefan

I'm up for bumping it indeed but your proposed ebuild lacks the build-shared-only patch which you simply removed.

Looking at the sources, this patch is still needed but needs to be updated to reflect the modifications done on the various Makefile.am of the src/ subdirectories (most of them are untouched, this should be done quite easily).

Could you update the patch and propose a glusterfs-3.6.3-build-shared-only.patch ?

Thanks

Could you please shortly explain me, why is this build-shared-only important and what does it do ? Than I'll see what I can do.

Please, update or explain, why is this build-shared-only patch important. I can prepare patch for new version of glusterfs package, but I don't see reason for this patch ?

Because those patches respect Gentoo build QA and users' preferences mate. I know it looks like boring work, but that's the quality you give to all users afterwards.

Cheers

OK, and technically the reason is that we want to build shared libs only ?
