I updated the eric-5 ebuild to work with eric6 which was released a few months ago.

Reproducible: Always




This requires the updated qscintilla and qscintilla-python ebuilds from bug #541604 for the qt5 support.

Version 6.0.5 is out, might as well bump to that.

I tested renaming the 6.0.4 ebuild to 6.0.5 and it works without any modifications.

Does it still make sense to have a slotted installation, upstream version 4 and 5 are not anymore supported and the version 6 has unified the support for python 2 and 3, and, should support both PyQt4 and PyQt5

Anyway, updated the ebuild for eric 6.0.10 to work also with PyQt4

New ebuild for version 6.1.5

I've attached a new ebuild for the latest version 6.1.5. It fixes the file name for the Chinese localization and forces PyQt4, because when PyQt4 and 5 are available it will otherwise select automatically version 5 and then complain about the missing qscintilla pyqt5 bindings.

Ah, interesting. I thought eric:6 required PyQt5 and a qscintilla built against Qt5. That doesn't seem to be the case, eric:6 is compatible with PyQt4/Qt4 as well. Which means we don't actually have to wait for bug 541604.

6.1.7 is in tree now. Please test.
