The current notecase-1.9.8 sources date from 2008, and while they compile with minor changes to the Makefile the resulting binary chews a considerable amount of CPU time - it seems to be redrawing the application window too frequently. This is on Gnome 2.32.1, but Notecase has always run smoothly on Gnome until now. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Emerge Notecase 2. Run Notecase 3. Monitor CPU usage Actual Results: Heavy CPU usage. Expected Results: Light CPU usage Attached are two patches; one fixes the Notecase Makefile and sources to remove the bug(s), and the other fixes a problem with Notecase color backgrounds. Hi, sorry for taking a bit long to respond: I can't reproduce this problem running gnome 3.16.2. On starting, notecase takes up a bit of the CPU, but settles down fairy quickly. I played around with it too, and nothing I did loaded the CPU significantly.
