When media-sound/ardour-4.0-r1 is merged, a new desktop entry is created /usr/share/applications/ardour3-ardour-4.desktop. the icon looks exactly as ardour3. The name is ardour3 and it runs ardour3. the only way to run ardour4 is via command line (either terminal shell or gnome-session's). Was it intentional? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. update ardour3 to ardour4 2. open gnome menu 3. see 2 ardour3 icons. 4. try to run both Actual Results: - ardour3 is started in both cases Expected Results: at least names should be different. the second icon is expected to run ardour4
(In reply to Anton Gubarkov from comment #0) > Was it intentional? Hehe, no, certainly not! :-) I will look at it... In the meantime feel free to edit /usr/share/applications/ardour3-ardour-4.desktop.
Ok, this is corrected in ardour-4.0-r2 now! Thanks Anton! btw, r2 also contains some cflag cleanups, so it's maybe worth it besides the menu item! ;-)
