I see a patch in 4.0 that might be related. Can you please test gentoo-sources-4.0.5 and let me know the result?

From what I read these are just warnings. Are you experiencing any problems from this? Is something related to i915 not working?
Comment 4 Lagu 2015-06-17 12:54:45 UTC
Hello messages are sent as "ERROR", then I guess it only need to be pass them as warnings. in other distros are patches for that.

The kernel works fine with i915, but maybe only for curiosity, i have an

"00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller (rev 09)"

it use i915 driver (via lspci), but if a disable the i965 on the kernel or in the make.conf the driver don't works. can be related, i really don't know.

is this still a problem with more recent kernel ?

please open a new bug if the problem persist with a more recent kernel.
