Description Mike Atamas 2002-07-23 11:23:26 UTC
If you simply enter the command emerge anjuta, the ebuild will fail. Anjuta
needs gnome-vfs. Whats more, if you enter the command emerge gnome-vfs first it
still will not compile because now that gnome 2 is no longer masked gnome-vfs 2
is compiled. gnome-vfs 1.05 should be added to the dependancies. Anjuta will
simply not compile without it.

yeah, had the same problem.
I solved the problem in a little bit unusual way: I just emerges xmms and the
right version of gnome-vfs was installed. But then there was the next error
while emerging. the anjuta install script wanted to install the anjuta manual
into /usr/share/gnome/help/anjuta. Then suddenly my computer beeped three times
and the emerge aborted. grml

It does seem like a good way to solve the problem, but Gentoo should be
professional. You can expect someone who simply wants anjuta to have to
install xmms.

Again, this is not for the documentation team, changing category.

This has been fixed already.
