renaming the 0.4.9 ebuild worked for me.
0.5.1 is there...
...renaming also works with 0.5.1
Renaming to 0.5.1 works for me too.

Created attachment 35526 [details] liferea-0.5.1.ebuild renaming from 0.4.9. I also added ``mozilla'' and ``gtkhtml'' to IUSE, so that emerge -pv can work properly.
Created attachment 35527 [details] liferea-0.5.2_rc1.ebuild ebuild for liferea-0.5.2-test1, just FYI.
0.5.2-test1 runs fine here.
liferea-0.5.1.ebuild work fine for liferea-0.5.2 which just released
Created attachment 36047 [details] liferea-0.5.2-r1.ebuild ebuild for liferea-0.5.2b(a bugfix version for 0.5.2). According to the author, 0.5.2 contains a severe bug which can destroy your subscription URLs. I have just encountered the bug. So I think it's necessary to upgrade to 0.5.2b.
I'm using the 0.5.2-r1 ebuild and it seems to be working alright here. Thanks.
Created attachment 37063 [details, diff] Patch to require either gtkhtml or mozilla (bug 54549) This is a diff that takes into account the changes made to the ebuild in relation to Bug 54549. Either gtkhtml or mozilla must be set for the package to compile. This diff is based on the work in Bug 54549 which basically makes liferea use libgtkhtml should neither USE flag be set.
- #if none of them, we use mozilla support as default + #if none of them, we use gtkhtml support as default :)
Created attachment 37227 [details] liferea-0.5.2-r2.ebuild This is an ebuild for liferea 0.5.2c, a bugfix release. It take the 5.2b ebuild above, add the patch created to fix Bug 54549 and fixes the comment as dju` pointed out :). 5.2c fixes a few rendering problems. And 5.3-test1 is out as well so 5.3 probably isn't terribly far off.
Created attachment 37233 [details] www-client/liferea/liferea-0.5.2c.ebuild thanks for this ebuild, jay and karol. here is my (slightly) modified version, where $header has been cleaned and version renamed to 0.5.2c. note that category will be www-client soon.
latest is 0.5.3 and can we bump this, because #54549 is obsolete (old version and it is just a depend-package-patch, which is now included in the ebuilds attached to this bug ...
This patch would be fine, except that --with-mozilla/gtkhtml2 and --without-mozilla/gtkhtml2 don't seem to have any effect on configure. The script just detects mozilla or gtkhtml2 and that's it, providing --with or --without doesn't affect this in any way Can anyone provide some proof opposing this?
latest is 0.5.3b - fixes some depends w/ libxml2 - http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?release_id=262071
Added 0.5.3b. There's no need to report every new version to us in bugzilla, I'm running liferea and viewing the liferea feeds which notify when a new version is available. Thanks for all the work here.
