1) copied old ebuild (1.00.17) to overlay / device-mapper-1.00.18.ebuild
2) cretaed digest
3) emerge device-mapper
4) works fine on my dual PIII server

Added 18 and 19 to portage.  Marked stable on x86 and amd64 as I've been using it fine for the past few months and there are no reported bugs.
