Description Bob Johnson 2015-03-31 05:02:28 UTC
dev-python/pyopencl-2015.1 compilation terminates with the following error:

In file included from src/wrapper/wrap_cl.cpp:1:0:
src/wrapper/wrap_cl.hpp:28:19: fatal error: CL/cl.h: No such file or directory
 #include <CL/cl.h>
                   ^
compilation terminated.

Reproducible: Always

The problem seems to be that the pyopencl ebuild doesn't depend on dev-util/intel-ocl-sdk, as that is the package that provides /usr/include/CL/cl.h.

Package depends on >=virtual/opencl-0-r1 ... so I have no idea how you can have that installed and not the files it provides
Comment 4 Bob Johnson 2015-03-31 07:20:30 UTC
Good point. Your clue got me to look closer at this. Something changed coincident with the multilib split that just hit stable, so I suspect I missed the trigger in the noise. Suddenly portage wanted the opencl USE flag on mesa, required by pyopencl, which in turn is required by freecad. However, the opencl USE flag is useless on my open-source radeon driver system. Hence, the virtual/opencl package doesn't bring in anything.

The only solution that seems to work for me is to just flush freecad altogether, as it now seems to demand the use of binary drivers viz-a-viz pyopencl and the opencl USE flag.

Given that opencl isn't a valid configuration on my system, it appears this isn't so much a bug as a feature. Feel free to close this issue. Sorry for the false alarm.
