Please add PhotoFlow Editor to the tree, a fully non-destructive photo retouching program providing a complete workflow from RAW image development to printing.
You may consider becoming a proxy maintainer of this package (and create initial ebuild). For details see: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Proxy_Maintainers#What_it_takes_to_be_a_Proxied_Maintainer
Here is an ebuild, along with corresponding patches, for media-gfx/PhotoFlow-0.2.5. Support for system versions of lensfun and libraw is still incomplete (the way it is implemented now it is not possible to enable both at the same time due to patching conflicts, moreover I've seen weird compilation errors caused by enabling system libraw but which I haven't had time to debug yet), a version of media-libs/vips is required that is not present in Portage yet (I've used the one from the "eva" overlay), and I've got a nagging suspicion the OpenEXR dependency is unnecessary - but it works.

I can't get this working, but the last update is pretty old. Are people using this?
(In reply to Sam from comment #7) > I can't get this working, but the last update is pretty old. Are people > using this? This RAW Image Editor is rapidly evolving. It would be great if it were added to the tree in the future. http://photoflowblog.blogspot.com https://plus.google.com/+PhotoFlowEditor

Please see the link posted by Andrew for more details. Looks like development has considerably slowed down so the package might be more manageable now. Anyway, while this does look like a worthy addition to Gentoo there is the question of community interest in PhotoFlow (personally, having played with it for a while I decided to stick with Darktable). Should there be anyone interested in maintaining it please let us know (or even better, submit a pull request on GitHub); otherwise this bug will be closed as WONTFIX (could of course be reopened later) after 30 days.
