Please stabilize newest revision of sys-kernel/dracut-041. Reproducible: Always
Did you intend to CC archs?
Bug #538350 needs to be fixed, first.
*** Bug 558750 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Any updates on this?
dracut-044 also needs https://github.com/dracutdevs/dracut/commit/c41df7e1db1adc51399ab2c22f251b15eb2065b1 Without it, encrypted volumes will have trouble opening up during boot. Tested, both broken scenario and fixed scenario. Works.
Well, none have been marked stable, upstream devel is dead (as far as I know) and there are open bugs against it so I don't think this will go anywhere. It might just be better to remove the old versions to start.

It might just be better to remove the old versions to start. Why would you say upstream is dead? Steady stream of commits is constantly flowing http://git.kernel.org/cgit/boot/dracut/dracut.git/log/ I'm not sure what has blocked the 045 release though. It's safe to say this package is not going to die any time soon, since it's by far the best initramfs builder out there.
oh, totally missed that, I thought they said they'd be stopping devel on it since it's being integrated into systemd (or something like that) a year ago.
This is probably WONTFIX then... but probably a bug asking for a recent snapshot would help to fix all the pending bugs :/
I don't see any critical bug that should block stabilization. But the patch mentioned in Comment 5 should be applied (I also have applied it locally). I can open PR on github if nobody disagree. Err.. I've never heard of anything like this.

Since the comment history isn't 100% clear, do we intend to CC archs on this and make it happen? Or is there still a pending issue?
(In reply to Richard Freeman from comment #12) I would certainly like to see that happen, but it's up to the maintainers ultimately.
any issues with CCing arches in a week or so?
(In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #14) > any issues with CCing arches in a week or so? None here, I suggest we proceed if there is no objection raised. I've been running it on a stable build with no issues.
amd64 stable, adding other archs
