Description Ludootje 2004-06-19 08:23:01 UTC
I tried to install frozen-bubble, of which smpeg is a dependency.
I don't use ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86".
Here's the output:

!!! parallel make failed
-----------------------------

Got this both times I tried, no idea how to fix it :o
Then I tried "emerge smpeg", still got the same.
Here are the flags I'm using with it:
[ebuild  N    ] media-libs/smpeg-0.4.4-r4  +X +gtk -opengl  0 kB

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge smpeg
Actual Results:
automake returned errors; compilation failed.

Expected Results:
Install successfully :)

Some stuff from 'env' which might be interesting (although I kinda doubt it):
QMAKESPEC=linux-g++
CXX=g++
CC=gcc
GLIBC_SSP_CHECKED=1

Just it with all possible combinations of flags (X gtk opengl), always the same result.
Thought I'd mention it - might be helpful.

works fine for me. Please reopen with output from emerge --info.

Tried it again as you said it worked for you, still the same though. Here's the output from emerge --info:

cleaned up the ebuild in portage ... please sync up and try it

Yep works fine now, thanks a lot everyone!
I'll try to remember to post 'emerge --info' output next time ;-)
Thanks.
Comment 6 Ludootje 2004-06-24 10:02:53 UTC
Apparently the problem exists with another dependency of frozen-bubble too. This time it's sdl-mixer.
I realise it's another package etc, but since it's the same problem and the bug's been assigned to games@gentoo for no other reason than smpeg being a game's dependency, I though I'd post it here too.
Here's the output:

gax ~ # emerge sdl-mixer
Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 1) media-libs/sdl-mixer-1.2.5-r1 to /
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) SDL_mixer-1.2.5.tar.gz

 * Applying sdl-mixer-1.2.5-amd64-mikmod.patch...                                                                     [ ok ]
configure.in:43: version mismatch. This is Automake 1.8.3,
configure.in:43: but the definition used by this AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE
configure.in:43: comes from Automake 1.4-p6. You should recreate
configure.in:43: aclocal.m4 with aclocal and run automake again.

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Comment 7 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-24 10:39:49 UTC
Ludootje - open a new bug please.
Comment 8 Ludootje 2004-06-24 11:25:08 UTC
Ok sorry for the trouble :o Moved to bug 55059.
Thank you Mr. Bones.
