Hi, The Linux/UNIX Users' Group at Michigan Tech will be upgrading to a 1Gb/s connection. In order to finalize this, we are required to change our IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. To make this change, and any potential future changes, we were wondering if our rsync24.us entry could be changed to a CNAME. Thanks, Jared Ledvina Lead MTU LUG Server Admin jfledvin@mtu.edu lug-server-admins-l@mtu.edu
Heya, Sorry, using a CNAME is not possible. The Gentoo mirror network should be able to handle the traffic during the changeover if that's your concern. Please update this bug when you have the new addresses ready for me to update.
Hey Alex, We've got the new IP addresses, it sounds like telecom wants to switch them out at 3:00pm EST. Sorry about the late notice. lug.mtu.edu 141.219.84.84 2001:48a8:11:97d::84:84 Thanks, Jared Ledvina
switched the IP in our acl, let us know if it doesn't work after your IP changes.
You missed updating rsync.us.gentoo.org: rsync.us.gentoo.org. 11907 IN AAAA 2001:48a8:0:8:0:3:0:233 That should be 2001:48a8:11:97d::84:84.
