Description mark newman 2002-07-22 17:33:26 UTC
Hi I am using gentoo 1.3b with the mjc kernel rc1. I have compiled alsa as
modules. I am unable to build alsa-lib etc. They need alsa-driver as a
dependency. if i inject alsa-driver or remove its dependency from the ebuild
script I get this error from the configure script.

configure: error: Install alsa-driver v0.9.0 package first...

Presumably gentoo would need a new alsa build. I have looked on the alsa site
and dont see other packages for alsa when its in the kernel.

use gentoo-sources, the alsa-packages will continue to support the
gentoo-sources kernel.
