I copied the rc3 to make a 1.7 release build and it worked! even with enigmail .. which doesn't compile for me usually. I did this.

cd /usr/portage/net-www/mozilla
cp mozilla-1.7_rc3.ebuild mozilla-1.7.ebuild
ebuild mozilla-1.7.ebuild digest
emerge -vp mozilla-1.7.ebuild
USE="mozcalendar mozsvg" emerge mozilla-1.7.ebuild

And in a matter of an hour, I have mozilla 1.7.

Hope that helped the impatient ones ;)

New version in portage, still package.masked until epiphany tests okay
