Apologizes for not being able to provide a patch. Hopefully I'll have a chance to look into it in more detail in the next several days.

Oh, I should mention this is hardened, not vanilla.

Please first upgrade qemu (then it should no longer complain about the missing syscall) to version 2.2 and rebuild everything so far.

Yeah this is a qemu issue not musl.  I'm closing this invalid.  Reopen if I'm wrong (ie, it persists on newer versions of qemu or native hardware.)

New qemu seems to have resolved the problem. Thanks for your attention.
