app-arch/xarchiver-0.5.3-r1 has been in the tree since loong time and no open bugs.

app-arch/xarchiver-0.5.3-r1 was removed due to having a lot of bugs which had been fixed upstream in 0.5.4. Please use the latter instead and feel free to file an appropriate stabilization bug later. Thanks.
