Description microcai 2015-02-28 05:55:35 UTC
when upgrading Qt5, fcitx-qt5 does not get rebuild, nor detected by preserved_libs .

fcitx-qt5 should depend on the exact subslot of qt5 and automatically get rebuild when updating qt5.
Comment 1 Mike Gilbert gentoo-dev 2015-03-03 03:30:53 UTC
The Qt library packages do not define subslots, so there is really no point in adding slot-operator deps to fcitx-qt5.

why?
Comment 3 microcai 2015-03-03 08:12:19 UTC
because Qt 5.4.1 update crashed all qt5 based app during startup. rebuild fcitx-qt5 fixed the crash problem.
so fcitx-qt5 should SUBSLOT depend on the exact qt version when it was build aginst, and auto-rebuild when qt5 gets updated.

The real bug is that application uses private headers.
Comment 5 Davide Pesavento gentoo-dev 2016-05-04 00:57:13 UTC
Apparently this was already fixed quite some time ago with a slot operator dep.
