I think emerge download the linux-fox.bz2 package from the web site, and tries accessing directories that are concerning gtk2, and of course they don't exist.. So it work with use=-gtk2 , sancho use the fox libraries. With use=gtk2 i have the following output: root@blackmerda kikidonk # cat /root/log gtk2 gtk2 gtk2 >>> Unpacking source... >>> Unpacking sancho-0.9.4-5-linux-fox.tar.bz2 to /var/tmp/portage/sancho-bin-0.9.4.5/work >>> Source unpacked. gtk2 * Nothing to compile. gtk2 >>> Install sancho-bin-0.9.4.5 into /var/tmp/portage/sancho-bin-0.9.4.5/image/ category net-p2p /usr/sbin/ebuild.sh: line 35: cd: /var/tmp/portage/sancho-bin-0.9.4.5/work/sancho-0.9.4-5-linux-gtk: No such file or directory cp: cannot stat `sancho': No such file or directory cp: cannot stat `distrib': No such file or directory cp: cannot stat `lib': No such file or directory install: cannot stat `sancho-bin': No such file or directory man: prepallstrip: strip: strip: >>> Completed installing into /var/tmp/portage/sancho-bin-0.9.4.5/image/ gtk2 sfperms gtk2 gtk2 gtk2 * * Sancho requires the presence of a p2p core, like * net-p2p/mldonkey, in order to operate. * * Caching service dependencies... gtk2 Calculating dependencies ...done! >>> emerge (1 of 1) net-p2p/sancho-bin-0.9.4.5 to / >>> md5 src_uri ;-) sancho-0.9.4-5-linux-fox.tar.bz2 >>> Merging net-p2p/sancho-bin-0.9.4.5 to / --- /etc/ --- /etc/env.d/ >>> /etc/env.d/20sancho --- /opt/ --- /opt/bin/ >>> /opt/bin/sancho --- /opt/sancho/ >>> Safely unmerging already-installed instance... <<< obj /opt/sancho/sancho-bin <<< obj /opt/sancho/sancho <<< obj /opt/sancho/lib/libswt-fox-2101r1.so <<< obj /opt/sancho/lib/libgcj.so <<< obj /opt/sancho/lib/libgcc_s.so.1 <<< obj /opt/sancho/distrib/sancho_pl_PL.properties <<< obj /opt/sancho/distrib/sancho_it_IT.properties <<< obj /opt/sancho/distrib/sancho_fr_FR.properties <<< obj /opt/sancho/distrib/sancho_es_ES.properties <<< obj /opt/sancho/distrib/sancho_de_DE.properties <<< obj /opt/sancho/distrib/sancho.reg <<< obj /opt/sancho/distrib/sancho.properties <<< obj /opt/sancho/distrib/preview.sh <<< obj /opt/sancho/distrib/preview.bat <<< obj /opt/sancho/distrib/README <<< obj /opt/sancho/distrib/LICENSE.txt <<< obj /opt/sancho/distrib/LGPL.txt <<< obj /opt/sancho/distrib/ChangeLog <<< obj /opt/sancho/distrib/CPL.txt <<< obj /opt/sancho/distrib/AUTHORS --- !mtime obj /opt/bin/sancho --- !mtime obj /etc/env.d/20sancho --- cfgpro dir /etc/env.d <<< sym /opt/sancho/lib/libgcj.so.5.0.0 <<< sym /opt/sancho/lib/libgcj.so.5 <<< sym /opt/sancho/lib/libgcc_s.so <<< dir /opt/sancho/lib <<< dir /opt/sancho/distrib <<< dir /opt/sancho --- !empty dir /opt/bin --- !empty dir /opt --- !empty dir /etc >>> original instance of package unmerged safely. >>> net-p2p/sancho-bin-0.9.4.5 merged. >>> clean: No packages selected for removal. >>> Auto-cleaning packages ... >>> No outdated packages were found on your system. * GNU info directory index is up-to-date. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. USE="gtk2" emerge sancho-bin Actual Results: Everything looks like it's done (except the error messages) cannot launch sancho Expected Results: sancho should be emerged fine, and launchable
thanks, this should be fixed in 0.9.4.5-r1
