Version 0.5.4 is out http://www-2.cs.cmu.edu/~pach/kwirelessmonitor/ Can you pls update the ebuild? Also, it would be nice if this nice application would be in portage.
I want to add it to the portage tree. I've fixed the ebuild: 1) Old header 2) GPL is not a valid license, it should be GPL-2 3) I think it should have RDEPEND="net-wireless/wireless-tools" But I can't test it, for a strange reason I have this error: Xlib: unexpected async reply (sequence 0x331)! Can you test it and say if it works for you? thanks.

Hmm, I'm not able to ebuild digest the ebuild. tp root # cd /usr/local/portage/net-wireless/kwirelesmonitor/ tp kwirelesmonitor # ls kwirelessmonitor-0.5.4.ebuild tp kwirelesmonitor # ebuild kwirelessmonitor-0.5.4.ebuild digest !!! aux_get(): ebuild path for 'net-wireless/kwirelessmonitor-0.5.4' not specified: !!! None !!! aux_get(): ebuild path for 'net-wireless/kwirelessmonitor-0.5.4' not specified: !!! None doebuild(): aux_get() error; aborting. tp kwirelesmonitor #
probably because the dir is kwirelessmonitor not kwirelesmonitor ^
Oh sh*t. You're right. Why are computers allways so fussy. (: I have successfully emerged kwirelessmonitor 0.5.4 now. Thanks for the help.
If it works for (quite all) of you. I'll add it to the portage tree. Probably it's a my local issue. let me know!
Timo: so does it works well for you?
Yes, emerged fine and works nice on my Thinkpad T23 with ARtem PCMCIA card.
Commited in the portage tree. Please let us know for every version bump opening e new bug report. Thanks!
