dev-db/postgresql-7.4.2 fails to emerge because it tries to get postgresql-base-7.4.2.tar.bz2 from the PostgreSQL-mirrors. Apparently, the directory /v7.4.2 on those mirrors has been removed (i did see a 7.4.3, but cant find an ebuild for that version of PostgreSQL). I did locate the needed files (or files with the same name, I'm not sure and not going to test) in /source/v7.4.2/ on the PostgreSQL-mirrors. Note: I did an emerge-webrsync just before trying to emerge PostgreSQL. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge dev-db/postgresql Actual Results: in my case: 502 Proxy Error (No data record is available) Expected Results: emerged PostgreSQL
Please fix this bug as soon as possible. This is critical.
Tested anyway ;-) I just downloaded - postgresql-base-7.4.2.tar.bz2, - postgresql-docs-7.4.2.tar.bz2 and - postgresql-opt-7.4.2.tar.bz2 from the /source/v7.4.2/ directory on a PostgreSQL-mirror manually and placed them in /usr/portage/distfiles/ then emerged dev-db/postgresql. These are the correct files as the md5 check passed and pg is compiling as I type. Hope this helps someone until the ebuild gets fixed :-)
Fixed. Thanks for reporting.
