Here is an ebuild for the latest release of qtpoveditor. qtpoveditor is a scene editor for povray scene files, with syntax highlighting, support for controlling povray from within the GUI and a bunch of other useful features. It is quite similar to the GUI that comes with the windows version of povray. This ebuild also downloads and installs a related resource file that the programs author also supplies that is extremely useful. It contains keyword lists for the syntax highlighter amongst other things. A French translation is also available if USE="nls" is set. media-gfx/qtpoveditor would seem a sensible place for this to go to me. Ebuild will follow in a minute, I've marked it ~x86 as I tested it on my athlon-xp machine. Alastair Murray

Just a quick note, there is a version 0.3.5 now. Just a few bug fixes. Renaming the ebuild works fine. Alastair Murray
Umm, and "Gentoo Technologies, Inc" in the header should of course be "Gentoo Foundation". I copied that out of an old ebuild. Oops.
Created attachment 35732 [details] Version Bumped And Fixed Ebuild Turns out I can't spell DESCRIPTION, so fixed that in this ebuild. Also changed the header and version bumped it.
Created attachment 36039 [details] Improved ebuild I've made some changes to the ebuild. Biggest one is that it longer uses the nls USE flag, as that's only for gettext locales, installs translations based on LINGUAS now.
Created attachment 46500 [details] v0.4.1 ebuild After a long break: A version bump. Note: The ebuild is now keyworded ~amd64 as I no longer have an x86 system to test on. No reason why it shouldn't still work on x86 though.
I opened this bug over two years ago, but the last release of this project is over a year old and the developer says on the webpage that he is no longer working on it. Therefore it no longer seems sensible to put this in portage, it is liable to suffer from bitrot far too quickly. I'll attempt to resolve this bug as "WONTFIX", I'm not sure if I can do that as bug-creator but not a developer. If I can't do it I recommend someone else does.
