Description Aman Gupta 2004-06-15 17:24:55 UTC
http://amd.colony.ee/pmwiki.php?pagename=Main.Atitvout has 4 patches that expand on the unmaintained atitvout package to allow support for more ATI graphics cards.

Reproducible: Always

Well I can't really test these patches (aside from applying and compiling of course) but I'll look into getting them added.
Comment 2 Aman Gupta 2004-06-17 12:21:38 UTC
I did test them, and they work. They're all just a couple of lines each so you can easily determine what each does. The patches are also already a part of the atitvout package in NetBSD ports, so they do work.

I spoke to the atitvout author and he does not want to integrate the patches and release a new version as he has officially abandoned the project. I am discussing with him the possibility of taking over the project.

Any chance you can submit a modified ebuild that uses a small patch tarball to apply those? You can attach them here and I'd QA-verify and add the bump to portage. Thanks.

Nevermind. I just added 0.4-r1 to the tree with said patches.

Please add also the lrmi program and make atitvout-0.4-r1 as stable on x86:
