It seems your ftp sync is off by a day off. Make sure that is syncing correctly and I'll be happy to add it into rotation. Thanks!

Jeffrey

For the Rsync mirror part:
Thanks for helping out Gentoo. I have added the IP you specified in the bug to our access database, please start synching to rsync1.us.gentoo.org per our Rsync document at http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/rsync.xml. After a period of days I will check to make sure the timestamps are up to date and then add you into the appropriate rotation. We would like you to subscribe to the gentoo-mirrors Mailing List by sending an email to gentoo-mirrors-subscribe@lists.gentoo.org, as we send our notifications of updates, releases, and changes in policy to the mirrors. Once again, thanks for the hardware and bandwidth!

For the distfiles mirror:
Your timestamp is off by quite a bit (about 5 days):
Mon, 21 Jun 2004 22:06:59 +0000
Get that fixed and I'd be happy to add you to our mirror listing.

For Infrastructure,
Jeffrey
Comment 4 Georgios Mavrikas 2004-06-27 09:53:24 UTC
Where should we sync our ftp server from?
(we prefer an http url due to some ISP QoS)
Comment 5 Jeffrey Forman (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-28 06:52:40 UTC
You can pick any one of the http mirrors from our mirror listing http://www.gentoo.org/main/en/mirrors.xml which use http.

Comment 6 Georgios Mavrikas 2004-07-07 08:46:06 UTC
I think both rsync and FTP are up2date and stable by now.
Any news?
Comment 7 Jeffrey Forman (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-26 14:22:34 UTC
I have added you into the rsync rotation as rsync3.gr.gentoo.org. Your timestamp for the distfiles mirror is off by quite a bit. Please get that inline and I can add you onto our mirror listing.

Thanks!
Jeffrey
Comment 8 Jeffrey Forman (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-31 07:54:48 UTC
Any word on this mirror? I just checked the mirror and its latest timestamp is:
Sat, 14 Aug 2004 11:08:00 +0000

Let me know if you'd still like to offer a distfiles mirror, or I can close this bug. Thanks!

Comment 9 Jeffrey Forman (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-01 04:31:00 UTC
I apologize for the very long delay.

Thanks for helping out Gentoo. I have added your mirror to our list at http://www.gentoo.org/main/en/mirrors.xml. Please start synching from masterdistfiles.gentoo.org as the email I have sent to you instructs. We would like you to subscribe to the gentoo-mirrors Mailing List by sending an email to gentoo-mirrors-subscribe@lists.gentoo.org, as we send out notifications of updates, releases, and changes in policy to the mirrors. Once again, thanks for the hardware and bandwidth!

For Infrastructure,
Jeffrey
