Below is the output I get everytime attempting to emerge openjade.  I can't emerge world since this application is at the top of my list.

Try emerge opensp. after opensp emerged, openjade followed, and worked without a hitch. I had the same issues as this bug entailed.

I had exactly the same problem. Doing like Sebby said resolved it

the initial report has nothing to do with the comments afterwards. compiler segv should mean that they need to merge their compiler with saner cflags or what not.
