Contata doesn't honor proxy configuration untill built with -DENABLE_PROXY_CONFIG=ON. Please add a way to enable it by some USE flag or enable it by default.

Since 1.1.0, Cantata upstream switched to use the system/environment proxy by default. Is that feature not working?

No. I export http_proxy but cantata ran from same shell won't use that proxy settings.
