Description Shoan Motwani 2004-06-15 05:21:22 UTC
I have not been able to set the window stacking to above in any version of 0.16.7. This feature was working fine for me with 0.16.6.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open an application, say gkrellm2
2.Holding down alt, right click the application
3.From the context menu choose Set Stacking > Above

Actual Results:
The window is stacked as on top

Expected Results:
The window should have been stacked as above.

0.16.7_pre4 is supposed to fix this i believe ... please test :)
Comment 2 Shoan Motwani 2004-06-22 22:45:49 UTC
It seems to be fixed! Yay!!

But it only takes effect after enlightenment is restarted. You actually need to log in and out of it for the new stacking settings to effect. Thats kindda annoying.

In 0.16.6, the stacking property used to take effect immediately and IIRC enlightenment didn't even need to be restarted.

umm that's the way X works, it's not a 'bug' of enlightenment

but i'm glad it works :)
Comment 4 Shoan Motwani 2004-06-23 10:13:00 UTC
If that is a characteristic of X, then how come 0.16.6 had no issues with it?
Comment 5 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2004-07-23 22:48:18 UTC
i'm not 100% how the restart stuff works but unless it really re-executes itself, you'll probably have to restart X
