I won't to stabilize it. It has a lot of QA issues. Like crap build system, a lot of bundled libs, Also it attempts to install its files into /usr/local and so on.

sounds like it needs to be punted from the portage tree then.

this package has *brand-new* upstream, want to keep it till next release and see changes
