Gedit ceases to respond to menu commands, or, apparently, anything else after opening and closing a file, or sometimes just opening one. Occasionally it takes a couple of opens to get the problem. After a little while, especially if you try to quit, it crashes. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a file in gedit. 2. Possibly, try to open another file. 3. Actual Results: Gedit ceases responding to input, and crashes if I try to close it from the window close box. Expected Results: Opened the files and allowed me to edit them. GNOME is running. The bug seems to appear independent of what else is running. Same bug as 60506 - Orbit related. Will have a look
*** Bug 60506 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Can you try with the newest orbit, and also try to get a backtrace from gedit? Thanks.
What's the status of this bug? Resolved with a newer Orbit version?
Just closing, as no further information has been given.
