do you have dev-qt/qtsingleapplication installed?

thanks for the quick answer.

1) yes dev-qt/qtsingleapplication is installed.

2) # poppler has also qt4 and qt5 activated
[I] app-text/poppler
Installed versions: 0.30.0^t(09:56:14 03.02.2015)(cairo cxx introspection jpeg jpeg2k lcms png qt4 qt5 tiff utils -cjk -curl -debug -doc)

could this be a bug of dev-qt/qtsingleapplication or problem of texstudio?

Thanks for the info. Let me do some test and come back to you later.

  03 Feb 2015; Justin Lecher <jlec@gentoo.org> texstudio-2.8.8.ebuild:
  Add missing USE_DEP for dev-qt/qtsingleapplication

Please try if this works. dev-qt/qtsingleapplication needs to be emerged using USE=qt4.
Comment 7 tman 2015-02-03 13:52:33 UTC
thanks for solution:

following USES must be set as requirements to gets install texstudio as long as its not use qt5.

app-text/poppler qt4
dev-qt/qtsingleapplication qt4
dev-qt/qtlockedfile qt4
Comment 8 tman 2015-02-03 21:21:25 UTC
the bad is if u set:

app-text/poppler qt4
dev-qt/qtsingleapplication qt4
dev-qt/qtlockedfile qt4

to emerge texstudio

it lead to make pulseaudio fail hardly. end up with bug #538682.

can your confirm this too?

I don't think those to bugs are connected. And if so, it is a problem of pulseaudio.
