i got kurso de esperanto running on a mobile athlon 64. i'm not shure if the emul* packages managed this or the x86-libaries from lib-expat copied to /lib/. maybe someone could check this out and give the ebuild the "~amd64" certificate. :D Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. sorry don't know exactly what i've done :-O 2. 3. Actual Results: working "kurso de esperanto" Expected Results: an error like "file not found" Portage 2.0.50-r8 (default-amd64-2004.0, gcc-3.3.3, glibc-2.3.2-r9, 2.6.7-rc3) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.7-rc3 x86_64 4 Gentoo Base System version 1.4.3.13 Autoconf: sys-devel/autoconf-2.58-r1 Automake: sys-devel/automake-1.8.3 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="amd64 x86 ~amd64 ~x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-O2" CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" COMPILER="gcc3" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/share/config /usr/share/texmf/dvipdfm/config/ /usr/share/texmf/dvips/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/generic/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/platex/config/ /usr/share/texmf/xdvi/ /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-O2" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs ccache sandbox" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://trumpetti.atm.tut.fi/gentoo" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="X alsa amd64 apm avi berkdb cdr crypt dga dvd emacs encode esd foomaticdb gdbm gif gnome gpm gtk gtk2 imap imlib ipv6 joystick jpeg libg++ libwww linguas_de_AT.UTF-8 maildir mikmod motif mpeg mule ncurses nls nogcj oggvorbis opengl pam pda pdflib perl png python quicktime readline samba sdl slang spell ssl tcpd tetex truetype unicode usb xml xml2 xmms xv zlib"
Got this running as well, but not w/ current testing emul libs. Best chance atm is to run it with stable emul libs, though it gave me some problems from time to time. It will be marked ~amd64 as soon as i get the new emul libs out OR as soon as we get multlib working, whichever comes first ;-) BTW: That's a cool language...
Ok, got a workaround for it. Long live the GCONV_PATH environment variable ! ;-) In CVS now !
