Compilation of kmod fails with musl libc because of missing strndupa.
The issue is fixed in upstream git. Please add the attached patch,
which is generated from git and applies cleanly to kmod-19, to the
gentoo ebuild.

Its fixed in the overlay with kmod-19-r99.  Did you pass this upstream?
