The stable version of tortoisehg (2.10.2) claims to require mercurial 2.7 or 2.8 by displaying the following message on startup: #!python ** Mercurial version (3.2.3). Since mercurial <3.2.3 is no longer in the tree (bug 533008) it may be the time to stabilize a newer version of tortoisehg.
