gTweakUI "provides extra configuration settings for GNOME that power users have been requesting since the release of GNOME 2.0" Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Created attachment 33071 [details] gnome-extra/gtweakui/gtweakui-0.0.6.ebuild I suggest gnome-extra/gtweakui for this ebuild.
dunno, 'power users' use gconf-editor imo... i think these tools add nothing & tend to go out of sync over time. the ebuild should use the gnome2 eclass.. check other gnome ebuilds
Sure Power Users use the gconf editor, but this seems like a decent package.
Power users love things like this because they don't have to remember all of the strings and such in gconf. Also, things like this expose those options to people that don't know how to dig as well. Giving them gTweakUI with a nice dialog and some help popups will prevent a lot of the problems that can come up from users wanting to make simple changes to gconf and screwing it up.
Created attachment 55869 [details] gtweakui-0.4.0.ebuild - bump & eclass New version of the ebuild, for version 0.4.0 plus proper use of gnome2 eclass. I agree that this package would be useful, as gconf isn't always the easiest of things to understand or find what you want in. Anyway, it seems a good option to provide users and is fairly simple :)
There hasn't been a release in over a year and all these options are available in other caplets. Surprise that this was a useless app :)
