Description Minati jean michel 2004-06-09 16:18:37 UTC
lcdutils works on cobalt xtr, but when I try to emerge it I have :
 * This package is only for Cobalt Microserver systems. It is not
 * useful for any other type of system currently.

the ebuild test for a mips arch, and the cobalt XTR is x86.
I can modify the ebuild if needed.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge lcdutils
2.
3.

Actual Results:
it fail because it's not a mips architecture.

Expected Results:
lcdutils install and compile fine.

I added that originally since it was designed in mind for the old cobalt mips systems. Never tried it on the x86 variants (like the XTR).

It's been changed to display a warning if the target system isn't a cobalt mips machine. About the only useful utility is putlcd. buttonsd doesn't offer much as far as interaction with the buttons goes. Likely an entirely new program will have to be written for that.
