blueman-1.23 is the currently marked stable version of the package. bluez-5.25 is the currently marked stable version of its package. These 2 versions are not compatible with each other. blueman-1.23 cannot run with >=bluez-5 This was previously brought up in https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=501718 However nothing was done. The current state of the portage tree will let you install this non-functional combination of applications. The blueman-1.23 ebuild needs to have a dependency added to it so that it conflicts with >=bluez-5 Ideally we should also get a blueman package marked stable which is compatible with bluez-5. Otherwise people likely will not be able to install this package at all. Reproducible: Always
Nevermind. I noticed that blueman has no stable version. All versions are unstable.
