Forwarded from stuart@polplex.co.uk Hi I don't think this is the correct place for this bug report but if it isn't, please could it be forwarded to the correct place? I don't really want to sign up to gentoo's bug reporting system just to report this bug. I am the author of 'superadduser' in gentoo (which is actually 'adduser' from Slackware). Two problems: 1. Man page: ------------- In superadduser.8 it claims that the author of the script is Hrvoje Dogan <hdogan@student.math.hr> This is incorrect; I re-wrote the script but loosely based it on the original script by that author so that it looked and behaved in a similar fashion to the original Slackware version. I will write a full man page for adduser at some point, but could this be corrected for the time being please? If there are any Slackware or non distribution-specific bugs, I'd like to know about them - I think the man page may confuse the issue. 2. Licence: ------------ Gentoo just *assumed* GPLv2 for adduser. It is not released under GPLv2. I never specified a licence for it because it was donated to the Slackware Linux project and as such is contained under the standard Slackware script licence. I have uploaded adduser v1.09 which has the licence at the head of the script. Could you please correct this? Thanks for forwarding the info Mike, I appreciate it. 1.0.7's ebuild reflects the new license, 1.0.8 has been removed and replaced with 1.0.9. Additionally the manpage has been updated to credit Stuart with the authorship.
