Description Ian Delaney (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-12-22 04:20:07 UTC
dev-python/mysql-connector-python has been added to portage and offers mysql backend support to sqlalchemy and django-1.7 which between them have all stable keywords.

I don't see any package that requires this dependency. How are we supposed to test this?

A quick grep of the dev-python category turns up a couple of packages that should utilize it as an optional runtime dependency. Per QA policy, this is expressed in pkg_postinst messages rather than via use flags.

dev-python/django
dev-python/sqlalchemy
