Description Jan Paces 2004-06-08 00:54:24 UTC
after emerging v 0.3.2, icons are not visible.

this is a message from dcgui-qt output, when running with -v switch:

I/O warning : failed to load external entity "/usr/local/share/dcgui/icons/emot/default/emoticons.xml"

but emoticons are not the only problem, none icons are visible. after reemerging dcgui-qt 0.3.1 problem disappears. icons seems to be at the same position as in 0.3.1

Reproducible: Always

aliz maintains this package.
So far, this is a worksforme; I am unable to reproduce this error. Aliz, can you?

The icons are installed into /usr/share, not /usr/local/share, and dcgui-qt is finding them just fine here.

confirming, i have icons installed at /usr/share too, exactly like in 0.3.1 version, and also with the same permitions. and i don't have an error message from dcgui, that it can't open/find any icon file except emoticons. i copyied emoticons in ~/.dc and message "I/O warning ..." disappears, but normal icons are still not visible. jan.

it seems, that dcgui-qt up to 0.3.1 uses both default path and path in personal config file when searching for resources (as icons). ver 0.3.2 searches only path in config file. i had this path wrong from some very old instalation. this is not bug, but wrong set up.

creating new personal config file resolved the problem.
