Description Rainer Größlinger (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-07 18:28:14 UTC
apache-2.0.49-r3 DEPENDs on apache-manual-2.0.49-r1 but there are newer revisions of apache-manual in the tree.

This is causing a circular dependency of apache wanting to downgrade to apache-manual-2.0.49-r1 but for example "emerge -uvD world" upgrading to -r3 again.

Fixed in cvs.
Comment 2 Rainer Größlinger (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-08 17:10:56 UTC
how did you fix this?
There's still the same DEPEND and I still experience that problem, too.
Comment 3 Rainer Größlinger (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-10 09:39:58 UTC
Reopened since this is not fixed.

Doesn't the DEPEND on apache-manual need to be -r3 in the apache-2.0.49-r3 ebuild?
Same goes for the apache-2.0.49-r2 ebuild (but there is only -r1 and -r3 for apache-manual, so this will inevitable cause a circular dependency, too).

apache-manual is just up/downgrading all the time because of this.
Comment 4 Rainer Größlinger (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-11 16:50:13 UTC
moved back into apache ebuild -> closing
