(Filing a bug so I don't forget it) The slackers script sends empty output when connection to ldap1.g.o fails. It should connect to different ldap node when connection fails. This should be fairly easy to implement, with a for loop and try except blocks, just need to find out the exact exception that ldap.initialize is sending

Calm down please. It's not like anyone is "spamming" you on purpose with these two messages a month.

I've disabled the broken script and added my version that still is pretty much a hack.
It will need some confirmation that it's working properly and moving out of my homedir.

You are absolutely right, that was out of line. But it did do the job to get some attention on this thing.

Is this completely fixed? I haven't seen broken reports for a while now.
